Survivor: Africa was the eleventh season of Survivor.
The season ended when Charles won the title of Sole Survivor, beating Ashley and Clarka by a 5-4-0 jury vote at the Final Tribal Council. The season featured 20 contestants dubbed as "castaways" marooned on two separate plains in Kenya. They were divided into two tribes: Asubuhi in red (morning in Swahili) and Usiku in blue (night in Swahili). On Day 22, the two remaining Asubuhi members merged into the Usiku tribe.
The season returned to a 20-person, 9-person jury season.
The hidden immunity idol was not used.
Outcast Island returned for the sixth consecutive season in the same style as the previous two seasons. This season was Outcast Island's last appearence for almost 11 seasons.
This was the only season that featured an utter blowout of another tribe. Although the Derada tribe in Survivor: Galapagos was conquered by the blue Jimbirka tribe, Aunt Arctic still beat two Jimbirka members, whereas no member of Asubuhi placed higher than any member of Usiku. Many consider Usiku to be the strongest tribe in Survivor history, but none of the tribe's members were memorable nor did any return for a future season.
