Survivor: Germany was the eighty-sixth season of Survivor. 

The season ended when Mackenzie won the title of Sole Survivor, beating Sofia and Allie by a 4-3-0 jury vote at the Final Tribal Council. The season featured 16 contestants dubbed as "castaways" marooned on two separate beaches in Germany. They were divided into two tribes: Bavaria in black and Saxony in yellow. The tribes were named after provinces in Germany. On Day 19, the tribes merged into the red Zusammen tribe, named for the German word for "together."

The main twist this season was the opportunity for the seven jurors to earn a spot in the Final 3. After the jury had been selected and a final two was formed, each of the eight jurors was given the opportunity to participate in the Final Tribal Council by facing the final two in a brutal challenge (that lasted nearly 14 hours). If the two finalists finished before any of the jurors, then the final two would remain intact. If any member of the jury beat the final two, the first person to do so would rejoin the game. If one finalist came first, a juror came second, and another finalist came third, the first finalist would receive an automatic vote at the Final Tribal Council. Mackenzie, who originally was the 8th member of the jury, won the competition, narrowly beating Sofia, to rejoin the game. She ended up winning the season. 

This season also introduced the concept of "One-Day Tribes" in the merged period. The final eight were divided into teams of four, each with a separate immunity challenge. The groups then went to separate tribal councils and could only vote for people within their group. 

This is the third season to film in Europe, and the first in 64 seasons. The last time was British Isles, following Greece.

The reception to this season was positive, with critics and fans alike praising the stellar cast and strategic moves, especially the early blindsides of Robert and Jenson, as well as the eliminations of Meaghan, Angelika, and Gage. Although the juror returning twist was met with much controversy, reactions were indifferent, as many thought Mackenzie earned the right to win the show, and Sofia would have been a fine winner either way. Producers announced at the finale that a special season was in store for the ninetieth installment.
