Survivor: Sri Lanka was the fifty-eighth season of Survivor.
The season ended when Jake won the title of Sole Survivor, beating Eric and Toby by a 5-4(-1) jury vote at the Final Tribal Council. The season featured 18 contestants dubbed as "castaways" marooned on two separate beaches in Sri Lanka. They were divided into two tribes: Mannar in orange and Velanai in blue. The tribes were named after Sri Lankan towns. On Day 19, the tribes merged into the black Ceylon tribe, which is the former name of Sri Lanka.
The main twist, or lack thereof, was a return to the basics of Survivor. The cast was reverted to 18 for the first time since in three seasons.
This season was met with generally positive reviews. Casting Jake Salew, the brother of a former winner, created suspense that was well-received by the public. However, controversy arose when Jake won, citing Salewski's win in South Africa as too coincidental. Jake was not as charismatic as his brother.
Jake Salew, the winner of this season, is the fraternal twin brother of Salewski, winner of Survivor: South Africa.
For the second time in Survivor history, the final jury vote came out to a tie. First seen in Panama, the jury vote tied at 4-4-1. Unlike the controversial unbreakable tie of the fifth season, the juror who voted differently from the other 8 would vote again. Damien Dirk voted live for Jake to win the title of Sole Survivor.

- At the finale, the votes came out to a tie (4 votes for Jake, 4 votes for Eric). Unlike the unbreakable tie in Seychelles, the producers organized a live revote for the one vote cast for Toby. Damien, the juror who cast Toby's vote, voted live for Jake. The first time this happened was Survivor: Panama .
